Google launches the Android Experiments I/O Obstacle for open up-resource app builders

[ad_1]

Google is launching the Android Experiments I/O Obstacle now in an exertion to deliver far more interesting open up-resource apps to its Android Experiments showcase.

The 3 winners of the obstacle, which will run until April thirteen, will get a vacation to this year’s Google I/O developer conference. The five runner-ups will get Nexus 6Ps (which in convert will make me imagine Google’s I/O giveaway this calendar year will be a Nexus 6P).

In the environment of mobile apps, open up resource isn’t rather as commonplace as in other parts of computer software development. Initiatives like this are at least partly about bringing far more open up-source mobile apps onto the system so new builders can just take this code and find out from it.

Below is what Google is wanting for in the submissions:

  • Resourceful works by using of Android’s new or distinctive features

  • Initiatives that explore how we interact with our equipment, in tiny and significant ways

  • One of a kind visible aesthetics

  • Open resource assignments that can inspire other builders

  • Surprise us – we want to see the incredible factors you’re cooking up.

These Android apps can be for telephones, tablets, Android Don and even robots.
